The Constructivists Announce
Cast and Creative Team
for Bug by Tracy Letts
Tuesday, January 20, 2026 (MILWAUKEE, WI) — The Constructivists are thrilled to announce the full Cast and Creative Team for their upcoming production of Bug by Tracy Letts, directed by Maya Danks, running April 25-May 9, 2026, in the Studio Theater of the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As our current moment in time is defined by isolation, paranoia, and an urgent hunger for connection, Letts’ razor-sharp psychological thriller feels as unsettling and necessary as ever.
Directed by Maya Danks, with Assistant Director Ekene Ikegwuani, this production brings together an exceptional creative team to realize the play’s claustrophobic intensity. Scenic Design is by Sarah Harris, with Set Construction by Les Zarzecki, and lighting by Ellie Rabinowitz with sound design by Martilia Marechal. Props are designed by Olivia “OJ” Jardas, costumes by Amanda J. Hull, and blood and makeup by Brittany Haut. Intimacy Direction is provided by Laura Sturm, with Violence Direction by Nicole Magnusson. Stage Management is led by Liv Mauseth, with Kai Hrivnak serving as Assistant Stage Manager.
The cast features Artistic Director Jaimelyn Gray as Agnes White, alongside Joe Lino as Peter Evans, Tess Cinpinski appears as R.C., with Matt Specht as Goss and Robert W.C. Kennedy as Dr. Sweet. The production is supported by a strong understudy ensemble: Rebekah Farr (Agnes White), Jesse Skewes (Peter Evans), Kellie Wambold (R.C.), Nate Press (Goss), and Ryan Holifield (Dr. Sweet).
With Bug, The Constructivists continue their commitment to producing bold, challenging work that lives in the uneasy space between what is safe and what is necessary. This return of Bug to Milwaukee promises a visceral, unflinching theatrical experience that lingers long after the lights go out.
ABOUT THE PLAY
In a seedy Oklahoma City motel room, Agnes, a divorced waitress with a fondness for cocaine and isolation, and Peter, a soft-spoken Gulf War drifter are introduced by Agnes’ friend, R.C. Agnes stays at a hotel in hopes of avoiding her physically abusive ex-husband, but there’s a hidden bug infestation problem that has them dealing with scathing welts and festering sores—and Peter believes this is the result of experiments conducted on him during his stay at an army hospital. Fears soon escalate to paranoia, conspiracy theories and twisted motives.
