The Constructivists invite actors to audition for:
THE GREAT CLEANSE by Amber Regan

A World Premiere
Plot Summary:
A poignant dark comedy exploring what it takes for people to love themselves in a world without men. Hooks Montessori PTA is chaperoning an overnight field trip to Crystal Caves when aliens take all the Earth's power and remove all men from the surface of the planet. When real people meet hilarious circumstances, what can they learn as they choose to live underground?
Characters:
Alexandra: 45-55 white she/her
She expects her voice to be the deciding voice that is followed quickly. Hooks Montessori PTA treasurer, and makes sure everyone knows she has a CPA.
Amanda: 27-35 African American she/her
She volunteers for everything and runs school events like they are highly organized and aesthetic bento boxes. Hooks Montessori PTA President
Brittany: 42-47 Latina. she/they
Crystal Cave Assistant managing director with no children. They know and love everything about the caves and pride themselves in constantly learning more. Not in the PTA.
Kayla: 25-30 White she/her
She likes to make everything more fun, even as she calls others out on mistakes. She is often late. Hooks Montessori PTA Vice-President
Jo: 55-70 African American they/them
They seem to know things others don’t and are often dismissed without being actually heard. Hooks Montessori PTA Secretary
Lauren: 30-40 any race, she/her
Her beauty and behavior make people uncomfortable but she assumes her beauty makes it all ok. Hooks Montessori PTA Committee Member

What to prepare:
Please take a look at the character descriptions and prepare the corresponding monologue of a character of your choice (LINK FOR MONOLOGUES HERE). Memorization is optional; printed copies will be provided. You can be considered for multiple roles regardless of your monologue selection. We are currently casting all roles.
Production Details:
We will begin with a table read on the morning of Sunday November 15, 2026, at The PATH. Rehearsals begin March 8, 2027, on a Monday-Thursday evening, Saturday daytime schedule. Our rehearsal location is 1313 E Waterford Ave. The production runs April 17–May 1, 2027 (Thursdays-Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 4pm) in the Studio Theater of the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway, Milwaukee WI.
