Emily A. Beck (she/her) is a theatre artist from Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Aurora University with a B.A in Theatre with a focus in acting. After spending five years as a 911 dispatcher, which turned out to be her most theatrical job to date, Emily was inspired to write her debut full-length play, VAMPIRES. She was lucky enough to spend eight weeks developing her script in Jackalope Theatre’s Playwrights Lab, where she fell in love with writing plays. Vampires has since been featured in Athena Project Art’s July 2024 “Read & Rant” discussion, is a 2025 Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference Semifinalist and a 2025 Waterworks Finalist.
New to the world of playwriting, Emily is excited to continue to learn and grow; Many thanks to The Constructivists for this opportunity to do so.
