We have some very exciting news to bring to you today.
We are beyond thrilled to reveal for our final mainstage production of our 2022-23 Season, James Pickering, beloved Actor of Milwaukee Theatre, will portray David and join Constructivists Associate Artist Rebekah Farr as Ella starting April 15th in I'm Gonna Pray for You So Hard by Halley Fieffer.

These two phenomenal Artists will have an equally phenomenal team of returning and new Constructivists team members supporting them on this Herculean play starting with Artistic Director Jaimelyn Gray as Director. She will be joined by Company Members Sarah Harris (Set Design), and Les Zarzecki (Set Construction); Constructivists Associate Artists Liz Ehrler (Assistant Director), Maya Danks (Ella - US), and Laura Sturm (Intimacy Design); also returning Artists Ekene Ikegwuani (Sound Composition and Design), Jamey Feshold (Fight Design), and Mia Palmer (Stage Management); and finally with the help of new team members Ben Yela (Lighting Design), Vee Delgado (Costume Design), and Anya Palmer (Prop Master), "I'm Gonna Pray..." is sure to be the kind of intimate, gut-kicking beast you love to experience with us.
ABOUT "I'M GONNA PRAY..."
The play is a 2015 dark dramedy set in New York City. It’s there we find Ella, a determined and fiercely competitive actor, whose endless struggle is making her famous playwright father, David, proud. Over the course of an evening filled with stories and drink, Ella and David deliberate over whether to read the reviews of her Off-Broadway debut…and things...unravel..from there. Halley Feiffer’s dark, probing and very funny play pulls the audience into the middle of a deeply complicated relationship and digs deep into the eternal struggles of parents and children to find common ground.

Just one final note. Originally set to open at the end of April, we had to move our production of I'm Gonna Pray for You So Hard to open two weeks sooner due to a Creative Team member conflict. The production will now run Saturday, April 15th, to Saturday, April 29th, as opposed to earlier date information.
